The Rudgear Meadows Swim Team Seal Pup program is for children who are emerging swimmers. Seal Pup lessons begin June 17th are conducted as 15 minute semi-private lessons 5 days a week for 6 weeks. The children will be instructed by qualified coaches under the direction of RMST assistant coach Caitlin Montcrieffe.
Typically, Seal Pups will be between 3-1/2 and 6 years of age. (For older non-swimmers, please check out our lessons conducted after 12:30 PM daily. Signups on a weekly basis at the pool.) If your child is not ready for competition but has interest in swimming, can put his/her head in the water without fear, and can be expected to take instruction in a lesson situation, then this program is the right one. The goal of our program is for the pups to be able to swim the length of the pool (relatively) unassisted by the end of the program.
The pups will end their season with a swim in a special ceremony at the RMST family Blue-and-White meet on July 24, where they will be cheered on and congratulated for a job will done! It is a great evening, guaranteed to be a great video opportunity and, possibly even tissue worthy!
Signups will begin for this program starting mid-March.
This is the best way to get your child ready and excited to be a full fledged Seal team swimmer!
